We got the chance to host our first networking workshop last Thursday,  where more than 60 individuals join us and take part in our lecture! Networking is the informal social exchange of knowledge and ideas among those who share a profession or a particular interest.

During the workshop, we played out a role-playing scenario so that two participants could practice their abilities and learn new ones. During the workshop, we set up a real networking situation with one investor and two start-up entrepreneurs. Each had separate objectives they needed to fulfill. The audience was able to observe how our body language, facial expressions, open-ended inquiries, and conversational topics may all support networking success (that could be connected to the business goal).

It’s amazing how often we fail to consider how our social skills affect our success, level of happiness, and quality of life. Kate and Angelina presented their ideas and methods for networking event that they use. Additionally, following the training, attendees were given access to a list of conversation starters for any situation.

While developing the application about social skills with leading psychologists and neuroscientists, the networking skills became a necessity. From all of the classes we took, degrees we obtained, and exchanged knowledge with our excellent colleagues from other universities, we acquired a lot of material that we delivered at the workshop. While we were thrilled to observe such intense interest in the subject, we were also able to pick up on people’s lack of social comfort. We are eager to provide you with much more knowledge about social skills!
